Off Campus Access (VPN)

Secure remote connections

VPNs provide you with a secure and safe connection to key campus resources while off campus. If you're travelling or at home, connect to campus through a secure VPN and it'll feel like you never left.

What is a VPN?

A VPN, or Virtual Private Network, is a technology that permits campus users to securely and safely transmit any kind of network traffic down a tunnel to a remote location. This will allow users who are not on campus the ability to access campus computing resourcessuch as direct access to library databases and departmental resourcesremotely.

Why should I use a VPN?

VPNs are used in situations when users are off campus and require secure access to specific campus resources. A VPN allows for a secure connection that ensures data and credentials stay safe. If users are travelling, located abroad or have restricted access to web applications, we recommend using a VPN.
