Service Change: Sitecore Framework Update (Sitecore Users) - 2017/02/17 - 13:53

University Digital Strategy is updating the Sitecore framework to add features and address the following issues reported by users:
    • FEATURE: Website administrators can now hide the "department" column on professor collection landing pages (for single-department faculties)
    • BUG: Unit level administrators are unable to unlock items locked by other users
    • FEATURE: System now sends email to workflow submitters when an item is approved
    • MISC: Various code changes to improve troubleshooting
Although this change does not require resources to be offline, users attempting to manage content in Sitecore may experience service degradation (slow system response) during the update. Visitors to Sitecore-hosted university websites will be unaffected by this change. The update process is expected to take 4 hours.

2017/02/15 09:15 – IST is investigating reports of a Cisco Unified Contact Center Express (UCCX) outage affecting some call centres around campus. We will provide more information shortly.
2017/02/15 10:35 - IST is currently working with a third party vendor to investigate and resolve the issue.
2017/02/15 11:00 - The cause was discovered and a fix is being prepared for implementation.

2016/02/09 09:15 - The scope of affected labs include the Cameron Library public computers and MedSci 231 and 227.
2016/02/09 10:00 – The cause has been identified and corrected. The affected IT services were tested.

Service Change: Kerberos Configuration Update (Campus Wide) - 2017/01/27 - 09:30

The kerberos service, which allows Campus Computing ID (CCID) holders to authenticate to various services across campus, will be updated. The affected users may be unable to authenticate to these services or to change their CCID password during the outage. The service degradation is expected to last for 15 minutes.

The eClass External environment, which provides access to community collaboration and research courses will be offline to perform scheduled application and infrastructure maintenance. Regular credit courses on eClass (including Faculty of Extension) will not be affected.

Service Outage: Google Drive Across Campus Some Users - 2017/01/17 - 09:20

Outage resolution

Start: 2017/01/17 09:20 - Some users across campus began reporting they were receiving errors when they tried to access Google Drive. IST escalated issue to Google for further investigation.
2017/01/17 11:00 - Google confirmed this was a global issue affecting a significant number of users. Google support teams continued to work towards a resolution.
End: 2017/01/17 14:20 - Google reported service has been restored to the affected Google Drive users.

2017/01/10 14:30 - Users reported an issue with an AFS (Andrew File System). Users are unable to authenticate to AFS from windows computers. IST analysts are investigating.
2017/01/11 08:30 - IST continues to investigate the issue and work toward a resolution. Affected users can still connect to their network storage space using a WinSCP. Contact the IST service desk if you need help connecting.
2017/01/11 15:00 - A solution has been discovered and IST is working on preparing and deploying a fix.
2017/01/12 09:00 - IST is preparing to deploy a fix to resolve the issue. Affected users can still connect to their network storage space using a WinSCP.
2017/01/12 15:15 - IST continues to work to prepare and deploy a fix to resolve the issue.
