Did you know IST provides internet services to over 40,000 users daily on campus?

When connecting to wireless at the U of A, users can connect to Guest@UofA or UWS. Ensure you have the optimal wifi experience  by connecting to the wireless service that’s right for you:

Guest@UofA allows visitors at the university to connect to our free wireless network. Visitors can check their emails, participate in conferences and simply browse the web. This connection is restricted and offers a limited bandwidth per user—lower bandwidth can result in a slower web experience when downloading or accessing large files. Guest@UofA will also request the user agree to wireless terms at the start of each new session prior to browsing.

UWS is the U of A’s official wireless connection for users with a valid UAlberta CCID, which includes students, faculty members and staff. UWS offers users a full-featured web experience and a faster internet connection. Connecting to UWS once ensures you’re automatically connected wherever you are on campus—including LRT platforms.

To connect to UWS, visit How to Connect to UWS.
