Service Modifier: Airwatch University wide Mobile Device Users - 2017/10/25 - 03:29

Modifier change

Emergency maintenance will be performed on the AirWatch CN628 environment, the Mobile Device Management application . The service will be unavailable for approximately 120 minutes at any time during the four hour change window.

During this time frame, AirWatch users can expect the following:

  • New device users will not be able to enroll
  • Existing device users will not be able to access the VMware AirWatch® App Catalog or Self Service portal
  • Existing content in VMware AirWatch® Content Locker™ will continue to be accessible, however, new content will not be available

Service Outage: IT Services North Campus Some Users - 2017/10/17 - 17:10

Outage resolution

Start: 2017/10/17 17:10 - Monitoring systems detected a power outage on parts on North Campus including College Plaza, Campus Tower & Education South that was affecting all IT services. EPCOR began investigating.
2017/10/17 19:00 - Monitoring systems reported IT services in Campus Tower were restored. 
2017/10/18 04:00 - Power was completely restored by EPCOR, however some IST managed devices were still offline in areas only accessible during business hours.
End: 2017/10/18 10:00 - All remaining devices affected by the power outage have been brought back online and IT services were confirmed restored.

Service Degradation: Sitecore Websites - 2017/10/11 - 14:00

Degradation resolution

Start: 2017/10/11 14:00 - Clients were reporting intermittent errors when accessing or editing websites hosted by Sitecore. University Digital Strategy (UDS) support teams began investigating.
2017/10/11 17:00 - Further investigation determined an automated process had failed, manually forcing the process was successful and service was restored. Monitoring began to see if any issues reoccurred.

Service Outage: Travel Expense Claims, SupplyNet & eTrac - 2017/10/03 - 10:35

Outage resolution

Start: 2017/10/03 10:35 - Clients that use PeopleSoft Financials & SupplyNet began reporting they had lost access to the following areas:

  • Travel & Expense Claims 
  • Supply Net
  • eTrac 

Support teams began investigating a resolution.

2017/10/03 13:05 - A fix was implemented. Clients who use PeopleSoft Financials to access Travel & Expense Claims and eTrac had their access restored. SupplyNet access was scheduled to be restored last night.

2017/09/28 10:04 - IST worked with the vendor to restore services.

Start: 2017/09/25 13:50 - IST analysts determined that several back end Google API services became unresponsive. As a result CCID password changes, which are dependent on the Google API, stopped functioning for all clients.
2017/09/25 14:00 - Google began investigating the issue.

Service Outage: Several Computer Labs CSC and CAB Students, Instructors - 2017/09/14 - 13:30

Outage resolution

Start: 2017/09/14 12:00 - Students began reporting they were not able to log on to computers at several computer labs in Computing Science Centre(CSC) and Central Academic Building(CAB). Computers that were not restarted worked fine. IST analysts began investigating the cause and fixing the problem.  Locations known to be affected were:

  •     CSC 125
  •     CSC 129
  •     CSC 153
  •     CSC 159
  •     CSC 219
  •     CAB 311

2017/09/14 12:30 - IST analysts identified that the cause was updates from yesterday.  A fix was then rolled out to all computers and analysts worked on fixing computers that had lost network connections.
