Get the most out of your data with Splunk Certified Power User Training, sponsored by CANARIE and now available for Splunk users across UAlberta! This self-paced course teaches you how to use Splunk to effectively mine and manage the data from your logfiles.
Splunk is a data aggregation and reporting tool. It stores all the logfiles of your devices and/or software, provides high-speed search capabilities of those logfiles, and converts your data into organized reports.
Even the most seasoned Splunk users can learn something new. Splunk Certified Power User Training gives users a deeper insight into Splunk’s features and tools, how you can use them most effectively, and where they can be applied in your everyday work.
Passing the final exam for this program also makes you a Splunk Certified User. Splunk Certified Users have the ability to search, use fields, create alerts, use look-ups, and create basic statistical reports and dashboards. Becoming a Splunk Certified User is also the prerequisite to becoming both a Splunk Certified Power User and a Splunk Certified Admin.
Alternatively, users who do not wish to receive Splunk certification are free to take the courses they are interested in and not the exam.
The Splunk Certified Power User Training program consists of four courses and a final exam. Topics covered include:
