New Support Options at IST Service Desk

We have introduced new support options at the IST Service Desk in GSB 2-10! To reduce wait times and ensure a dedicated analyst is available when you need assistance, we have introduced appointment-only hours for walk-up support at the IST Service Desk in addition to drop-in support hours. Appointment-only hours allow us to match the best analyst to your particular inquiry—ensuring a faster resolution.
As of July 9, support options in GSB 2-10 are:

We have opened up our schedule, so start booking appointments for walk-up support now! Some of the issues our staff can help you with include troubleshooting UWS, purchasing software, and setting up university devices.
Please note that these appointments are for walk-up support only and do not include at desk or classroom support. For inquiries about at desk or classroom support, please email

Getting Started

To book an appointment, visit
Select ‘Book an Appointment’ from the top menu bar.

On this page you’ll see a Google Calendar with available times to ‘Book an appointment’.

Navigate to the specific day you would like to make an appointment. If you are searching for an appointment in the next few weeks, you can see availability in future weeks by clicking on the arrows in the top lefthand corner.

Once you have selected a day and time that works best for you, click on the appointment slot. A window will open asking for additional details for your appointment.
In the ‘What’ field, enter a summary of your question or issue.
In the ‘Description’ field, enter a brief description of what you would like assistance with.
The ‘Where’ field should not be edited as all appointments will be held in GSB 2-10.

Once your description has been entered, select save.

Saving your appointment will automatically create a calendar invite in your personal Google Calendar.
Note: If you are unable to make your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so the appointment time can be made available to others.
To Cancel Your Appointment
If you need to cancel your appointment, open the appointment invitation in your personal Google Calendar and click the trash icon.


You will be provided the opportunity to send a cancellation to Select ‘Send’ to send a cancellation. This will inform our staff if you are unable to make your appointment.
