With the recent release of the provincial budget, and the substantial cuts to the University’s Campus Alberta Grant, IST is being driven to take an in depth look at all of our services. As such, we have initiated a service review/redesign program to better understand how to meet our client’s critical needs within the context of a reduced budget.
The budgetary implications will ultimately require us to reduce our services. As a result, our goal is to ensure that we are aligning our funding and resources with the services that are most valued by the University community.
In the coming months, we will be engaging with our clients as we carry out these service reviews/redesigns. Methods we will be using include:
- Focus Groups: Facilitated focus group sessions to learn more about client expectations and needs.
- Online Surveys: Surveys asking clients to rank the importance and quality of specific features within an IST service. These insights will help us identify where service reductions are possible with minimal negative user impact.
- One-on-One Conversations: Discussions will occur as needed with clients throughout the review/redesign process.
