Welcome Steven!

You may recognize Steven Andersen as he had previously worked in the department as a Help Desk Analyst. These days, Steven's role has changed a bit, but what hasn't changed is his commitment to excellent technical support. Steven is now a part of one of the Deskside Support Teams that provides IT support to several groups and faculties on campus. A typical day for Steven consists of anything from setting up new computers, troubleshooting printer problems, password problems, hardware failure and data recovery.

Steven's history on campus extends far beyond his roles at AICT. Born in Wembley, Alberta, Steven spent his high school years in Prince George before moving to Edmonton for university—he's been on campus one way or another ever since. Steven recently graduated with a degree in Environmental Sciences, after dabbling with some computing science and geology courses. Throughout his time here, he has worked for Housing and Food Services (now known as Ancillary Services), Faculty of Arts and Libraries, mostly in technical support roles. He loves the opportunity that technical support gives him—to meet with clients face-to-face and to get to know them.

Steven is always up for new challenges and experiences; and, what better place for that than at AICT? Campus feels like home to him and like the saying goes—There's no place like home!
