Due to PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) batch delay, BearTracks and PeopleSoft Campus Solutions became unavailable.

Visitors to Bear Tracks (https://www.beartracks.ualberta.ca) and PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (https://www.prodps.ualberta.ca/psp/uaheprd/?cmd=login) were affected by this outage.

What was the impact?
The affected users were not able to access either service.

What was the timeline of the incident?
Start: 2014/03/05 06:05 – IT support analysts discovered a problem with Bear Tracks.
2014/03/05 06:10 – IT support analysts began working on the issue.
2014/03/05 08:20 - Users began to report issues accessing PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
2014/03/05 08:35 - Access to Bear Tracks was restored. Investigation into PeopleSoft Campus Solutions continued.
End: 2014/03/05 09:00 – Service was restored.
