OUTAGE RESOLUTION: AICT Lab Authentication - 2013/11/12

What happened?
Some Academic Information and Communication Technologies (AICT) public computer labs/classrooms experienced issues authenticating to access the internet.

Who was affected?
All students and staff at the following locations were affected:

  • Edmonton Clinic Health Academy (ECHA) L1-250 (Lab)
  • Edmonton Clinic Health Academy (ECHA) L1-270 (Lab)
  • Business 508 (Classroom)

What was the impact?
The affected users were not be able to authenticate with their CCID (Campus Computing ID) to gain access to the internet.

What was the timeline of the incident?
Start: 2013/11/12 11:10 – Users reported issues with authenticating to access the internet.
2013/11/12 11:35 – IT support analysts began working on the issue.
End: 2013/11/12 12:00 – Service was restored.
